We can all agree that 2020 has not been the easiest of years, as a global p andemic gripped the globe and caused immeasurable damage to worldwide communities and the economy. As the negative impacts of the pandemic reverberated worldwide, tickmill wanted to step in and ease some of the pressure felt by one hugely impacted communit y very close to our hearts.

Our company has previously worked with a group of 200 disabled children based in the city of pasig, who need support in becoming more integrated in society while going through their own personal development journey.

Due to the n ature of the pandemic tickmill had to overcome a number of challenges to be able to get the aid to the right place. Travel restrictions made the task difficult however, thanks to the determination of our incredible team, an effective distribution network w as created.

Our team on the ground put together packages of rice, milk, vitamin C, medical supplies, fresh produce and more to ensure that the children were able to stay healthy and safe through these tough times.

Tickmill’s position as an international br oker puts us in an exceptional position to be able to really give something back to communities across the globe. Following our wonderful event with the children last christmas , we wanted to ease some of the struggles that the kids were facing by giving as much support as possible through this difficult time.

We’d like to give a special thank you to the amazing volunteers and our very own nona sampang who went above and beyond to coordinate our donation; buying and preparing all of the packages and establishing an effect ive distribution network under such challenging circumstances.

We’ll continue our mission to ensure that these children struggling with disabilities are provided with as much support, care and assistance to support their personal development.

Tickmill brings smiles to children with disabilities in the philippines

Tickmill spread the joy and delightfulness of the holiday season to children with disabilities by sponsoring a christmas gift-giving event which was organised by the rotary club of pasig city bagong katipunan and the PWD association. Held at the pasig sports center in the philippines on 11 th december 2019, tickmill handed special gifts to more than 170 children who spent a fun-filled evening with their parents and friends while enjoying exciting activities and mouth-watering delicacies.

A team of local volunteers including our very own country manager, nona sampang were actively involved in the coordination of the event, especially in buying and preparing the piles of gift packs that were distributed to the children. The children took pleasure in receiving and unwrapping lots of gifts and playing with balloons, spreading whoops of joy all over the hall.

Tickmill supports the rights of children with disabilities and we are aware of the challenges that keep them isolated in different aspects of civic life. We do care and actively contribute to their social welfare in order to help the children get access to quality education and inclusive participation in community life.

As an organisation with a mission to increase public acceptance of the inclusion of children with disabilities, we are keen on promoting the children’s best possible care to support their personal development and social inclusion.
